Job summary

Energas in Derby is seeking a proactive Branch Operative to drive a van, delivering products to customer sites and internal branch locations. You will also represent the business during drop-offs, ensuring a high-quality delivery experience for customers.

When not delivering, you’ll assist with warehouse tasks, process orders over the phone, handle payments, and support branch operations under the Branch Manager. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or delivery environment.
• Working knowledge of health and safety requirements under the HASAW Act.
• Desirable: Forklift licence (training can be provided).
• Knowledge of engineering and welding processes/requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delivery & Logistics: Drive a van to deliver products safely to customer sites and internal branch locations.
• Warehouse & Logistics: Process and record incoming goods, stock storage, counts, and maintain a clean warehouse.
• Customer Service & Sales: Answer calls to process orders, confirm availability, provide product details, and handle payments.
• Trade Counter & Branch Support: Inform customers of new products or price changes; maintain displays and price files.
