Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited in Oxford is seeking a proactive Branch Manager to lead a team of sales staff, drivers and warehouse colleagues. You will oversee admin, stock and delivery performance across two vehicles, drive sales and profit, and uphold customer service standards.

You will develop your team, foster a safe, positive culture, and build strong relationships with local customers and suppliers, delivering great service and responsible financial performance.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 5pm and Friday 7am - 4:30pm -NO WEEKENDS!

Job Summary

Flexibility is required due to business needs , As Branch Manager, you'll be at the heart of our Oxford branch, leading a talented team of sales, drivers, and warehouse experts. You'll oversee everything from admin and stock to the smooth delivery of products across our 2 vehicles ( HGV & LGV). Your mission? Drive sales, hit profit targets, and uphold our high standards of customer service, all while supporting and developing your team. Your customers will vary from large national contractors to local independents, making your job diverse and rewarding. You'll lead with energy, foster a positive culture with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction, and ensure your team is motivated and engaged. Qualifications and Experience

Commercially aware with a solid understanding of business and financial performance. An excellent communicator who can engage with a wide range of people effectively. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while keeping the team engaged. Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. A proven leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team. Skilled in building relationships with a diverse range of individuals. Experienced in a similar role or as an Assistant Branch Manager. Organised, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage both your and your team's workload. Proficient in IT and comfortable using it for day-to-day tasks. A skilled negotiator, able to secure the best outcomes for the business and customers. Comfortable interpreting basic financial and statistical data for decision-making.
