Job summary

Northgate Vehicle Hire in Glasgow is seeking a Branch Manager to lead our busy Glasgow branch, ensuring exceptional customer service and performance across rental and workshop operations.

You will develop and coach a focused team, maximise revenue opportunities, and drive improvements to minimise downtime while delivering against our service commitments.

Qualifications

• Must be a proven people manager with experience in fast-paced customer-focused environments.
• Must have a commercially minded approach and ability to identify opportunities for efficiency and revenue.
• Strong coaching skills to develop team members and keep high standards of service.

We are looking for a talented individual to join the UK’s leading vehicle rental provider and accident management business, bringing to life, the Northgate experience for colleagues and customers at our busy Glasgow Branch.

Not only is it fresh and inviting, this state-of-the-art facility is our biggest yet, boasting 9 ramps to keep you moving with unparalleled efficiency. But that’s not all - we’re also proud to have Northgate Fleet Services running out of this location, making it a fully integrated branch where all your vehicle hire and accident management needs are covered under one roof.

As Branch Manager, you will focus on supporting our customers to keep their business on the road ensuring they can deliver on their business promises - heading a team that gives an exceptional customer experience whilst working to the highest technical and quality standards.

Accountable for all aspects of the performance across the branch including rental activity, workshop performance and customer relationships, we are looking to you to develop a focused team that maximises revenue opportunities, drives innovation and improvement to minimise vehicle downtime and, above all, delivers on our service commitment to customers through the development of the team.

About you

• Firstly, you are a proven people manager with a solid management background in fast-paced customer orientated environments - you know how to build and manage a team to deliver exceptional solutions to your customers.
• You have a common sense, commercially minded business approach - you know what makes a great workplace and how to maximise efficiencies and identify opportunities to produce outstanding results.
• You get involved in every part of your business - you take pride in understanding exactly what makes your business tick and lead by example, setting high standards.
• You are a natural coach and love to take time to support the development of your team, - nothing gives you more job satisfaction than seeing a member of team develop their skills and confidence.
• You have a passion for customer service - you understand what is important to your customers and suppliers.
