Job summary

Hdm Solar is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager for the Sheffield operation. You will be responsible for overall performance, including commercial success, operations, financial results, customer satisfaction and people management.

The role reports to the Senior Leadership Team and requires leading by example while driving performance and profitability. You will own the branch P&L, deliver against ambitious sales targets, manage warehouse and stock, and develop local business opportunities to

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience managing a wholesale branch.
• Background in electrical wholesale, renewable energy, solar PV or related industry.
• Proven experience managing a P&L account.
• Strong commercial awareness and business development experience.
• Track record of meeting sales and profitability targets.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing warehouse and operations functions.
• Experience managing stock control and inventory.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desirable knowledge: solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and renewable technologies.
• Desirable ERP/CRM experience.
• Desirable lean working practices implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the Sheffield branch's performance.
• Own the branch P&L and strategic commercial success.
• Deliver and exceed sales, margin and profitability targets.
• Develop and execute local business development strategies to grow market share.
• Identify and secure new opportunities within the region.
• Grow existing accounts through exceptional service and relationship management.
• Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and threats.
• Drive branch sales activity and ensure KPIs are met.
