Everywhen is seeking a Branch Director for its Winnersh office. You will be the senior leader responsible for the branch P&L, delivering growth through retention, cross-sales and new client wins, while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong risk management.

Job description

Overview

It’s an exciting time at Everywhen. We are looking for a Branch Director in our Winnersh office. This role is an Insurance Broking Branch Director based in Winnersh and acts as the senior leader at a branch level with overall accountability for all aspects of branch business.

You will have overall accountability for the delivery of the local P&L and will drive growth through improved retention, cross-sales, and new client sales. As the senior local leader, you will set performance and behaviour standards, lead and motivate the Branch team, and ensure they have the knowledge, skills, capacity, and resources to grow sales.

The primary focus is providing strong, effective leadership of the Branch, driving and implementing the regional strategy and being accountable for the branch P&L. You will oversee all aspects of branch trading in line with budgets, review the market and relevant sectors to identify opportunities, assess performance against competitors, understand threats from external competition, and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

  • At branch level, lead and support the team to deliver the best customer outcomes while meeting Consumer Duty requirements, collaborating with the Regional Director to achieve financial targets for the branch, region, and the GI business.
  • Lead on risk management by implementing plans to ensure every colleague meets risk and quality assurance requirements, ensuring effective monitoring that highlights trends and enables actions and mitigations.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to highlight potential barriers to retention or new sales and promote opportunities for business growth, sharing good practice and ideas.
  • Highlight operational needs to the Regional Director to ensure an optimal customer journey, balancing customer satisfaction and technical standards; implement solutions, optimise resources, and manage workflow; drive standardisation and continuous improvement with meaningful MI.

What we are looking for

  • An experienced people leader with a strong track record of delivering sales growth and leading teams to achieve revenue targets within a regulatory framework.
  • Demonstrable experience in a management role within insurance with extensive knowledge of the insurance industry, placement, and insurer relationships.
  • Proven track record of delivering top and bottom-line performance and growth, both organically and inorganically, with experience in managing client relationships.
  • Ability to improve business performance, income, and employee engagement within a regulated environment through effective sales planning.
  • Strong commercial leadership with a focus on financial awareness, understanding the external market, company performance, market intelligence, and business drivers.
  • Significant, proven experience in managing a P&L budget.
  • Robust understanding of business processes and performance levers; ability to lead driving new ideas and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels across the organisation. Flexibility to travel; you must be available to travel to our various offices and attend meetings which could include overnight stays.
