Job summary

Nationwide in Exeter is recruiting a Customer Representative to be the friendly face of our branch, helping customers in person, on the phone and online.

You’ll handle transactions, answer queries, and guide customers to banking products and digital tools, while staying compliant and acting with integrity.

This 12-month fixed-term contract offers flexible hours (full-time or part-time 28–35 hours per week), with training and opportunities to develop a rewarding banking career.

Qualifications

• No banking experience required.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that suit them.
• Work with colleagues to deliver excellent service at peak times.
• Follow processes and escalate concerns when needed to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
