Job summary

We are seeking a Product Functional Test Instrumentation Technician to join Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems in Cwmbran, Wales, UK. You will support product functional testing through high-quality instrumentation and test system expertise.

The role operates on a mornings shift with potential expansion to a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, and requires 100% on-site work. You will install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation, set up data acquisition, troubleshoot issues, and

Qualifications

• Hands-on instrumentation or testing experience in lab or test environments.
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation calibration.
• Experience across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Relevant technical qualification or associate degree is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation systems to keep tests running.
• Set up data acquisition to ensure reliable test data.
• Support testing by instrumenting test articles to requirements.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and test systems to reduce downtime.
• Introduce new equipment and technologies to strengthen capability.
• Maintain safe, compliant, and organized test environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through problem solving and QC.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, suppliers, and apprentices.
