Job summary

Air Products is seeking an Installation and Maintenance Technician to support maintenance services across UK & I, including South Wales. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install control/instrumentation systems, and participate in commissioning for projects and equipment installations.

The role requires experience in field service, COMPEX qualification, electrical testing capability, and PLC-based fault-finding. A driving licence is essential and a customer-facing mindset is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer facing role.
• Previous experience operating in a Service/Installation field role.
• Qualified to work on Field Instrumentation in Flammable Atmospheres (COMPEX).
• Qualified to carry out electrical inspection and testing on electrical systems.
• Working knowledge of PLC controlled systems, including fault finding and remote integration.
• Knowledge of working in Industrial Gas/Oil Industry environments.
• Experience with pressurized systems and compliance with PSSR 2000.
• Has completed a recognised Instrument Electrical apprenticeship.
• HNC or NVQ equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Valid full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Safe Operation and Legal Compliance of the sites.
• Carrying out inspections on schedule using SAP planning tools.
• Responding to unplanned maintenance in a timely manner.
• Maintaining documentation (written and electronic).
• Processing plant instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, gas detection).
• Managing shutdown and control system activities including valve switching.
• Overseeing pneumatic control systems.
