Job summary

Nelson Recruitment Services Ltd. are recruiting for our client in the West Bromwich area for a Brake Press Setter on the shop floor. Amada experience is ideal and the role includes operating a CNC press brake, working with various steels, and performing quality checks.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with rotating hours 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. Pay rate is £14.50 per hour plus 22% shift allowance (£17.69ph). You will attend a meet and greet, induction, and a short practical test on the machinery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Brake Press Operator/Setter.
• Capable of creating programs.
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings.
• Metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to follow directions and to communicate with all team members.
• Ability to work in a fast paced production environment.
• Setting and operating Amada brake press.
• Setting and programming / changing tools / complying with health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operation of CNC Press Brake creating varied products.
• Working with different types of steel.
• Carry out quality check on work.
• Ensure a clean, tidy, organised working space.
• Applicants should possess the ability to work efficiently.
• Able to work on their own initiative.
• Must be able to communicate at all levels, and have the ability to work as part of a team.
