We are seeking an experienced brain injury support worker to support a male client in Bishops Stortford, 1:1. Our client is 14 years old and is supported by his family.

Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time options available, including 20:00 - 08:00 shifts (12 hours).

Responsibilities:

1. Provide personalized, confidential support according to care plans.
2. Follow and understand care plans, consulting with healthcare staff as needed.
3. Monitor and review care plans regularly.
4. Work professionally with multidisciplinary teams and health professionals.
5. Promote independence and self-care in clients, including assistance with mobility, feeding, hygiene, and dressing.
6. Manage neurogenic bladder and bowel care as specified in care plans.
7. Assist with domestic tasks, meal prep, shopping, and household chores.
8. Support clients in attending appointments and social outings.
9. Provide emotional support to boost confidence and motivation.
10. Assist with moving and handling equipment for safety and independence.
11. Administer medication as per care plans, including monitoring and prompting.
12. Support rehabilitation activities as directed.
13. Deliver support respecting clients' cultural and personal backgrounds.
14. Document progress and changes in clients' conditions accurately.

Communication:

1. Communicate all relevant information to healthcare teams.
2. Report changes in health or social conditions.
3. Report safeguarding concerns, incidents, hazards, or complaints promptly.
4. Maintain clear, secure, and confidential records.
5. Use company systems and procedures appropriately.

An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided, along with support from our clinical lead nurse. Weekly pay is available.
