Fulbridge Social Care are specialist care and training providers with over 25 years’ combined experience at the forefront of providing the very best staff to the Care and Education sectors nationwide .

Successful candidates will be working in specialised settings supporting and promoting self-sufficiency of those over the age of 18, either in their own homes, a residential setting, or a supported living service, depending on their care needs. Daily tasks can range from day-to-day assistance and personal care, to planning activities and advocating personal wellbeing and independence.

You will be supporting individuals from all backgrounds with learning disabilities, ASD, physical disabilities, challenging behaviours, acquired brain injuries and psychological disorders. Each service user is unique and will require a different approach to their care needs, outlined in their care plan. As a support worker, you will be actively promoting the rights of the service users as individuals and working cohesively with core staff members, other agencies and medical professionals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build strong professional relationships with the service users and other members of staff
  • Maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for service user’s to live and for you to work
  • Assist in the planning of recreational, social, educational events and activities, escorting and supporting individuals as necessary during such activities including out in the community.
  • To ensure records are accurately kept updated.
  • Encourage and facilitate the autonomy, personal choice, preferences, and independence of the individuals needing support, in all areas of their lives and where specified in their Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
  • To safeguard vulnerable adults and ensure their safety and wellbeing.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with service users and colleagues
  • Ability to go wherever service users want to go and participate in all activities
  • Awareness of the general health, safety and welfare of service users
  • Excellent organisation and ability to complete care plans and records to a high standard
  • Flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of those who we support
  • Resilient with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Full UK driving licence

What we offer:

  • Flexible hours/days to work around current commitments. Typical shifts are 7am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 7am till 10pm, nights 10pm – 8am. These can vary depending on the needs of the homes
  • Weekly pay
  • Full accredited training and qualifications are offered to successful candidates

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain an enhanced DBS unless you already have a current portable one
