Ideal candidates will have a passion for care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
We have an excellent opportunity for a female support worker to work alongside our client in Bury St. Edmonds, Suffolk.
Our client is a gentleman in his 50s who lives in his own accommodation with 24-hour care. He enjoys photography, film, motorbikes, sailing, and has recently started cooking his own meals with support. Due to an acquired brain injury, he has speech and language issues and requires support with mobility, medication, community access, appointments, and daily needs such as environment and cooking. He has a history of seizures but has not experienced one since 2022. He also follows an extensive daily physiotherapy program supported by a physiotherapist at his residence.
Due to the client's support needs, the successful candidate must be female, a non-smoker, hold a full UK driving license, and have access to a vehicle. The candidate should be a clear communicator in English, comfortable working with an engaged family, physically capable, and a confident cook. Additionally, soft skills such as clear communication, motivation, and the ability to build a supportive relationship are essential.
