Job summary

Pernod Ricard is looking for a Bottling Hall Scheduler based at Kilmalid, Dumbarton, on a fixed-term contract of 12 months, to coordinate the Bottling & Blending supply chain with internal teams, suppliers and third parties to meet the supply plan.

You will deliver materials planning, capacity management, and production coordination while driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration across Production, Supply Chain, and Dry Goods teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain, planning, scheduling or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in drinks, FMCG or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding cross-functional supply chain processes, including suppliers and HMRC.
  • Experience using ERP systems or similar planning tools.
  • Clean UK driving licence.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Office with data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule the Materials Plan for delivery and secure agreement from Dry Goods.
  • Communicate required capacity for stock holding and adjustments or quality issues that impact the materials plan.
  • Identify, populate, and maintain materials capacity fields.
  • Support the aligned production hall by ensuring space and line movement requirements are accommodated.
  • Attend daily production meetings to confirm schedules and anticipate operational risks.
  • Collaborate with the Material Planner to ensure efficient production flow and material availability.
  • Use the DIR process to manage supplier performance and support ownership and follow-up.
  • Hold weekly review meetings with Dry Goods team to evaluate schedule adherence and capacity risks.
  • Support improvements to systems and processes to automate processes and remove non-value-added activities.
  • Actively support supply chain transformation and strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Highlight opportunities for Kanban to the Material Planner.

About the role

We are currently hiring a Bottling Hall Scheduler, on a fixed term contract basis, to deliver excellent customer service by working across the Bottling & Blending supply chain, including internal stakeholders, suppliers and third parties, to ensure deliveries to the site are scheduled and available to meet the supply plan.

What you will do

Materials Planning & Capacity Management

  • Schedule the Materials Plan for delivery and secure agreement from the Dry Goods team, working with them to understand available capacity for the hall by commodity and embed a planning and capacity management process.
  • Communicate required capacity for operational stock holding and stock adjustments or quality issues that impact the materials plan.
  • Identify, populate, and maintain materials capacity fields.

Production Coordination & Schedule Execution

  • Support the aligned production hall by ensuring space and line movement requirements are accommodated.
  • Attend daily production meetings to confirm schedules and anticipate operational risks.
  • Collaborate with the Material Planner to ensure efficient production flow and material availability, highlighting where internal stock adjustments or quality issues require an adjustment to the materials plan.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

  • Use the DIR process to manage supplier performance and support clear ownership and follow-up on supplier performance.
  • Hold weekly review meetings with Dry Goods team to evaluate schedule adherence, delivery performance, capacity risks, stock utilisation, and line changes.
  • Support improvements to systems and processes to automate processes and remove non-value-added activities.
  • Actively support and champion supply chain transformation and strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Highlight opportunities for Kanban to the Material Planner.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Personal Development

  • Build effective relationships through 360-degree communication with partner teams.
  • Collaborate across Production, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, and Dry Goods teams to ensure alignment.
  • Engage positively in the CBL personal and professional development process, identifying development opportunities and continuously improving performance.
Your skills and background
  • Bring experience in supply chain, planning, scheduling or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in drinks, FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment.
  • Have an understanding of cross-functional supply chain processes, including suppliers and compliance (HMRC).
  • Have experience using ERP systems or similar planning tools.
  • Hold a clean UK driving license.
  • Are confident using Excel and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyse information and learn new tools.
