Job summary

Boots UK is hiring a Healthcare Logistics Driver to deliver medicines to care homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and Boots stores on an allocated route. A vehicle is provided and training is given to work safely using a handheld device with pre‑planned routing and navigation.

You will report to the Healthcare Logistics Manager, build strong relationships with partners, and ensure timely deliveries while following safety procedures. DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Ability to read and interpret delivery routes and instructions.
• Ability to follow processes and work at pace to meet service levels.
• Physical stamina for a manually demanding role with heavy lifting.
• Comfortable using new technology and handheld devices.
• Calm in changing situations and able to adapt to new people.
• Genuine desire to help people and deliver great service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medicines to Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and Boots stores within an allocated route time.
• Collect items as required while ensuring timely, accurate deliveries and safety compliance.
• Build relationships with store teams and healthcare partners.
• Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns and maintain a clean, well‑presented vehicle.

The hourly rate for this role is £13.12.

Joining us as a Boots Healthcare Logistics Driver (HLD) is a great opportunity. You’ll deliver first class care to those in the community who might otherwise never visit a Boots store. You’ll be part of a unique service that prioritises the patient behind the parcel; this really is a role that offers so much more than other delivery roles.

About The Role

You will report into the Healthcare Logistics Manager and your role will be to provide outstanding customer care by delivering and collecting medicines from Care Homes, patients at home, GP surgeries and other Boots stores within an allocated route time.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries whilst following safety protocols. You’ll be provided with a vehicle that is maintained by Boots with all the training and equipment that you will need to work safely, including a handheld device that provides pre-planned routing and satellite navigation.

You Will Also

• Build great relationships with store teams, care homes and GP surgeries.
• Follow standards, operating policies and health and safety procedures.
• Drive safely and legally
• Keep your vehicle maintained and clean, reporting any damage or issues.
• Feedback relevant customer comments and concerns and make suggestions on how the operation can be improved.

What You’ll Need To Have
