Job summary

Jobsworth Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper in Redditch to join a busy finance team. You will maintain sales, purchases and expense records, process transactions, issue invoices, and manage supplier and customer queries in a full-time, office-based role.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of bookkeeping experience, a solid understanding of VAT and CIS returns, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bookkeeping experience.
• Good understanding of VAT and CIS returns.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and ability to handle suppliers and customers.
• Ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records including sales, purchases and expenses.
• Process transactions and post entries to the accounting system.
• Prepare and issue invoices.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Data entry and upkeep of internal financial databases.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Prepare financial reports to support the business.
• Submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Submit monthly CIS returns.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
