Job summary

TURNERFOX RECRUITMENT is seeking an experienced bookkeeper for a friendly accountancy practice in Mansfield. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT and CIS returns, with flexibility for full-time or three days per week and an office-based setup.

You will manage records, ensure deadlines are met, and liaise with clients using Xero, Sage or QuickBooks and strong Excel skills. Attention to detail is essential.

Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice
Hucknall / Mansfield
15.00 per hour
Full-time or Part-time - minimum 3 days per week

We are recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly and established accountancy practice based in Mansfield.

This is a flexible opportunity which could suit someone looking for either a full‑time position or part‑time hours from 3 days per week.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with the day‑to‑day bookkeeping requirements of a varied client base, with particular responsibility for VAT and CIS returns.

The role will involve:

• General bookkeeping for a range of clients
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Preparation and submission of CIS returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Processing and reconciling financial information
• Using accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Working with Excel spreadsheets
• Liaising with colleagues and clients to obtain information where required
• Ensuring records and returns are completed accurately and within deadlines

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing VAT returns
• Knowledge and ideally experience of CIS returns
• Experience using Xero, Sage and /or QuickBooks
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
