Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to restore and maintain order in the accounts function. You will roll up your sleeves to clear a backlog and implement processes that improve efficiency, while collaborating with the sales team to gather accurate data.

The role focuses on hands-on bookkeeping using Sage, with payroll responsibilities excluded, and operates within a VAT margin scheme. Hybrid working is planned after establishing systems and controls.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using Sage for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.
• Knowledge of VAT margin scheme for used-car dealers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day accounts and clear the backlog.
• Liaise with the sales team to verify sales information.
• Monitor and implement controls to ensure timely, accurate accounts.
