Job summary

Live Wire Productions, based in Banbury, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant for a 6-month on-site contract with the potential to become permanent. You will support finance, operations and project teams, handling day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple projects and international hubs.

Requirements include experience in bookkeeping, VAT knowledge, and competence with Sage X3, QuickBooks and Xero, plus strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting processes.
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Confident using Excel and/or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Process supplier invoices and employee expenses in line with company policy.
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Assist with VAT returns and support UK and international financial compliance requirements.
• Help monitor cash flow and flag potential issues proactively.
• Liaise with project managers to track project spending and assist with budget management.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support year-end audit processes.
