Job summary

Impression Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a hands-on role in a growing accountancy practice based in Keighley. You will manage a varied portfolio of small business clients, maintain accurate records, and support the senior team with accounts preparation.

The role requires strong bookkeeping experience, proficiency with cloud accounting software, and the ability to prepare VAT returns. Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a salary between £28,000 and £35,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Bookkeeper in an accountancy practice or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.
• Proficient in cloud accounting software and VAT returns.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small portfolio of client businesses with accurate inflow of financial information.
• Maintain up-to-date accounting records using cloud accounting software.
• Liaise with clients by phone and email to obtain financial information.
• Process bookkeeping transactions and ensure accurate client accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns for clients.
• Assist senior accountants with accounts preparation and management accounts.
