Job summary

Fresh Perspective Resourcing is seeking a Bookkeeper for a modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for varied clients, ensuring tidy books and timely records.

Ideal candidates have ~5 years in bookkeeping, AAT Level 3/4 or QBE, and payroll knowledge, with strong purchase ledger and VAT returns experience. Salary £30,000-£35,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Ideally 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping role or similar.
• Some experience working within an accountancy practice
• Payroll knowledge is preferable including PAYE process
• AAT qualified (Level 3 or 4) or qualified by experience (QBE)
• Confident managing purchase ledger, reconciliations and VAT returns
• High energy, positive, personable with great customer service
• Driven, super organised with excellent time management skills

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase ledger invoices across a range of clients
• Matching supplier payments and keeping the ledger reconciled
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records and keep client books tidy
• Liaising with clients to chase records and resolve queries
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day bookkeeper duties
