Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an AAT qualified bookkeeper for a hybrid role in Henley on Thames. You will handle daily bookkeeping in Xero, VAT and CIS returns, and work with clients on queries while joining a stable, growing advisory firm.

The ideal candidate has recent bookkeeping experience, AAT or equivalent, and can travel or commute to Henley. The role offers 32 days holiday, study support, an annual bonus, pension and a 2:30 pm Friday finish.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent is required.
• Recent bookkeeping experience including VAT returns.
• Experience using Xero and liaising with clients.

Responsibilities

• Preparing & filing monthly / quarterly VAT returns.
• Preparing and filing monthly CIS returns.
• Liaising with clients on queries and submissions.
• Providing training to clients on Xero.
• Reconciliations of control accounts.
• Daily bookkeeping in Xero accounting software.
• Posting monthly wages journals.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
