Confidential, based near Henley-on-Thames, is seeking a Bookkeeper (Accountancy/Tax Advisory) for a hybrid role. Salary £35,000–£40,000, with 32 days holiday, pension, study support, and an annual bonus.

The position involves daily bookkeeping in Xero, VAT/CIS returns, and producing monthly/quarterly management accounts, with a Friday finish at 2:30 pm. Applicants should be AAT qualified or equivalent and have recent bookkeeping experience, including VAT returns, plus the ability to liaise with

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Recent bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with VAT and CIS returns.

Responsibilities

• Daily bookkeeping in Xero.
• Post monthly wages journals.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare and file VAT returns (monthly/quarterly).
• Prepare and file CIS returns.
• Liaise with clients on queries and submissions.
• Provide Xero training to clients.
• Reconcile control accounts.

This role with include daily bookkeeping in Xero accounting software, posting monthly wages journals and preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.

The successful candidate will have recent bookkeeping experience including preparing and submitting VAT returns, along with holding a AAT qualification or similar.

• Preparing & filing monthly / quarterly VAT returns
• Preparing and filing monthly CIS returns
• Liaising with clients on queries and submissions
• Providing training to clients on Xero
• Reconciliations of control accounts

• Commutable to and from Henley - on - Thames
