Overall Purpose

We are recruiting a bookkeeper to join our busy accounts office in Wolverhampton.

The candidate will be responsible for processing transactions for a portfolio of bookkeeping clients while working to deadlines.

Brief Job Description

1. Sales and purchase invoice entry
2. Recording and reconciliation of bank, cash, credit card, and PayPal transactions
3. Preparation and/or review of CIS submissions
4. Assist clients with bookkeeping-related queries
5. Liaise with HMRC to reconcile VAT/PAYE control accounts
6. Post month-end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals, and prepayments
7. Prepare and submit VAT returns, including VAT schemes
