Job summary

Prestige Talent Partners Ltd is recruiting a Bookkeeper for a role based in Bury with hybrid working (office-based with 1 day WFH after probation). You will manage purchase and sales ledgers, invoice processing in Sage/Xero, bank reconciliations and VAT returns, and support multi-currency processing for various departments and client visits.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified with 3+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work offsite when needed.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working offsite.
• Experience with multi-currency bookkeeping and VAT duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase and sales ledgers and invoices in Sage/Xero.
• Perform bank reconciliations and VAT returns to HMRC deadlines.
• Handle CIS where applicable and prepare accounts to trial balance.
• Provide general office administration support.

Bookkeeper – Bury
£27,000 - £31,000 + Benefits

A rapidly growing, well-established accountancy practice in Bury is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Bookkeeper to join their expanding team.

The role:

• A mix of office based and client facing (WFH 1 day after probation)
• Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Sage/Xero
• Processing sales and purchase orders
• Bank reconciliations
• VAT returns, working to strict HMRC deadlines
• Working with multiple currencies, bank accounts and departments
• CIS experience beneficial (import/export)
• Producing accounts to trial balance stage (beneficial)
• General day-to-day accounts and office administration

What you'll need:

• AAT qualified
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role
• Strong communication skills and confidence working offsite
• Full UK driving licence (own transport required for client visits)
