Qualifications

Vouch Global is a startup digital marketing agency. We offer a range of services to help global businesses, or those on a mission to generate more customers. Our services include: Creative Services, Paid Media, SEO, Paid Social, PPC, Social Media Management, Website Development, and SEO. We predominantly specialize in serving the Hospitality and eCommerce industry.

We are looking for a part-time, UK (ideally London, Hertfordshire, or Manchester) bookkeeper who understands online marketing, is always one step ahead of their work, loves communicating with people, and is a whiz when it comes to numbers. As our virtual Bookkeeper, you are instrumental in maintaining the financial operations of our organization. You are detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in bookkeeping software. You take initiative, prioritize effectively, and can regularly meet deadlines.

You are happy to come into the London office weekly or bi-weekly.

Your duties include:

  1. Reconciling our company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
  2. Using Hubdoc as part of Xero to record company expenses and receipts
  3. Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by our company, Xero
  4. Payment processing, including employees and independent contractors
  5. Completing the month-end close-out process & providing financial reports to clients, once reviewed
  6. Managing income and expenditure accounts
  7. Documenting transaction details
  8. Generating our financial reports using income and expenditure data i.e. financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
  9. Keeping a pulse on our company’s finances based on financial status, informing our senior staff of any important updates or changes in a timely manner
  10. Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations; tax planning, tax deduction advice
  11. Fact-checking accounting data
  12. Notifying senior staff of any accounting errors
  13. If there are any technical systems glitches, you will research, troubleshoot and resolve
  14. Experience using online tools like Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom
  15. Using a company email address to communicate with our clients throughout the week
  16. Using email and Slack to communicate with the team throughout the week
  17. Reviewing cash flow updates
  18. Supporting with weekly analysis of staff utilization vs. Project and Retainer fees

What we look for in a candidate:

  1. Must be trustworthy, honest, with open communication and flexible availability.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline; or equivalent combined education and work experience, CPA is desirable.
  3. 2+ years experience with bookkeeping for small businesses, virtual workspace experience preferred.
  4. Deep understanding of accounting principles, with performance that meets industry benchmarks in accounting best practices.
  5. High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  6. The ability to communicate complex data in a clear way.
  7. Exceptional organizational skills.
