Job summary

Confidential in Fareham, Hampshire is seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to join their expanding practice of Chartered Accountants. You will manage a mixed portfolio, handling bookkeeping, VAT returns, and supporting year-end accounts.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years UK practice experience with a client-facing background and is studying towards or holds an AAT qualification. Strong knowledge of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks is advantageous, with onsite parking and a flexible working environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, an established, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their expanding team in Fareham, Hampshire.

The role will managing your own mixed portfolio of clients, dealing with their bookkeeping, preparing accounts, invoicing and maintaining financial records.

Duties include:

• - Bookkeeping for clients on a monthly/quarterly basis
• - Preparation of VAT returns
• - Management accounts and annual accounts
• - Provide clients with training and support on the use of Xero, Sage and QuickBooks

You will ideally have at least 2 years UK practice experience with a client facing background and hold a professional bookkeeping qualification such as AAT or studying towards this.

A strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks would also be an advantage.
