Job summary

Baltic Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Newton Aycliffe to manage receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch. You will work with a WMS, ensure stock accuracy, and handle bonded warehouse tasks in line with HMRC rules.

The role requires forklift license, safety compliance, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Good understanding of inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse Health & Safety.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working within a Customs Bonded Warehouse. Understanding HMRC customs procedures and bonded stock controls.
• Continuous improvement or Lean Warehousing experience.
• Hold an accredited and in-date Counterbalance Forklift License. Bendi/Flexi Truck License (desirable).
• Manual Handling Training and Customs Compliance Awareness Training (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound vehicles and verify against documents.
• Receive stock into the WMS and label items.
• Pick orders accurately and stage for quality checks.
• Process dispatch and shipping documentation, including customs paperwork.
• Perform cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
• Operate in a bonded warehouse under HMRC regulations.
• Follow safety rules, wear PPE, and report incidents.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas.
