Job summary

Slim Chickens UK & Europe in Greenhithe (Bluewater) is seeking Back of House Team Members to support a busy kitchen and guest-focused service. You will prepare and cook menu items to high standards, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and strictly follow food safety guidelines to protect our guests.

Join a fast-paced team, assist with inventory and stock rotation, and help ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food prep preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen
• Willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to the brand's high standards
• Maintain a clean, organized and efficient kitchen environment
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Assist with inventory management, stock rotation and ingredient freshness
• Work as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely orders
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance needs
• Support the kitchen team with various tasks to ensure smooth operations
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking menu items to perfection, ensuring every dish meets our high standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Following food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Assisting with inventory management, stock rotation, and ensuring the freshness of ingredients
• Working as part of a team to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time

• Supporting the kitchen team with various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations

What We’re Looking For

• A passion for cooking and delivering quality food
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but a willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential!
