Job summary

BCA Perry Barr is seeking a proactive Bodyshop Team Leader / Cosmetic Senior Bodyshop Technician to oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring high quality output and a positive team environment.

The role blends hands-on technical leadership with mentoring of bodyshop technicians, focusing on paint and prep expertise. 45 hours weekly, 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a bodyshop.
• At least 5 years’ hands-on bodyshop experience, ideally with strong paint or prep expertise.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and motivate bodyshop technicians to deliver safe, efficient, high‑quality work.
• Coordinate daily workloads, monitor progress, and resolve issues to meet operational targets.

Bodyshop Team Leader / Cosmetic Senior Bodyshop Technician
Location: BCA Perry Barr
Shift: Monday-Friday 45 hours per week 7:00am-5:00pm
Salary: £49,603.00 per annum (£21.14 per hour)
We’re looking for a proactive and hands‑on Cosmetic Senior Bodyshop Technician to join our team at BCA Perry Barr. This is a key operational role where you’ll work closely with our bodyshop technicians on the workshop floor, ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality output, and a positive team environment.

If you come from a strong paint or prep background and enjoy leading by example, this role will give you the opportunity to combine your technical expertise with team leadership.

Our selection process is designed to give you a clear understanding of the role and the working environment. It will involve two on-site interviews along with a site tour. A skills test may also form part of the process, depending on experience, though it is not always required.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and motivate bodyshop technicians to deliver safe, efficient, high‑quality work.

Personal Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory, team leadership, or managerial position within a bodyshop or similar technical environment.
• At least 5 years’ hands ‑ on bodyshop experience, ideally with strong paint or prep expertise.
• Comfortable working in a predominantly hands ‑ on role, actively supporting technicians on the workshop floor rather than in a desk ‑ based position.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Confident user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively motivate and support the team.
