Job summary

BCA Livingston is looking for a hands-on Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer to join the team. You will work within an experienced Bodyshop, ensuring vehicles are finished to the highest standard under supervision.

This permanent role requires you to prepare, paint with water-based paints, and verify colour accuracy, while maintaining a tidy work area and supporting other departments when needed.

Qualifications

• Own air-fed mask and paint guns (essential).
• Previous experience as a Bodyshop Technician or Paint Sprayer (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Paint preparation of the vehicle – masking and prepping if required.
• Spray painting required vehicles using water based paints.
• Checking paint colour and preparing spray out cards to ensure a perfect match.
• Cleaning up work area and making sure that equipment is working correctly.
• Supporting Bodyshop team within other departments if required.

Salary –£20.02 per hour / £46,975.62 per annum

Location – BCA Livingston

Working Hours – Monday to Friday 8:00-17:30

Main purpose of the role

Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced Bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Paint preparation of the vehicle – masking and prepping if required
• Spray painting required vehicles using water based paints
• Checking paint colour and preparing spray out cards to ensure a perfect match
• Cleaning up work area and making sure that equipment is working correctly
• Supporting Bodyshop team within other departments if required

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

• Candidates must have their own air fed mask and paint guns (essential)
• Previous experience in a similar role as a Bodyshop Technician / Paint Sprayer (essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.
• You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
• You will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
• Excellent attention to detail
