Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is hiring a MET Bodyshop Technician for the BMW Hailsham site. You will prepare vehicles to a high standard and collaborate with colleagues to complete large repairs efficiently.

The role emphasizes teamwork, maintaining product knowledge, and delivering exceptional customer service to customers. Training and development are provided within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles to a high standard.
• Advise Bodyshop/Service Advisor of any additional work during repair.
• Work in a team to complete large jobs and meet deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Deliver high levels of customer service and loyalty.
• Maintain housekeeping and administration of your work.

What you'll do day to day

• Preparing vehicles to a high standard.
• Advising the Bodyshop/Service Advisor of any additional work necessary during the repair process.
• Working in a team to complete large jobs and assist colleagues where necessary to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
• Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.

Helpful skills and qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
• Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines
• Strong problem-solving skills, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work
• Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining a keen eye for detail
• Ability to collaborate and contribute positively within a team environment
• A current valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
