Job summary

OC Motor Repairs is recruiting a Bodyshop Manager / Accident Repair Centre Manager in the West Midlands. You will lead a busy operation, drive performance, quality repairs and excellent customer service while mentoring a skilled team.

Salary is £50,000–£60,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm, in Telford, Shropshire. This permanent role offers progression and a clear path to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous bodyshop supervisory or management experience
• Experience with BSI
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build successful business relationships
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Clear communication skills face to face, by telephone and in writing
• Strategic planning, organisation and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Computer literacy with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office
• Ability to produce reports to a high standard

• Supplier Relationships: Maintain effective supplier relationships and negotiate confidently

• Work Allocation: Delegate work effectively to maintain service levels
• Customer Service: Ensure customers receive an efficient and satisfactory service
• HR Administration: Maintain staff records and manage HR-related matters
• Target Monitoring: Actively monitor progress against targets
• Management Information: Maintain daily MI figures and report issues promptly to senior management
• Customer Resolution: Handle complex customer enquiries and complaints

Working with suppliers, customers and senior management, the Bodyshop Manager / Accident Repair Centre Manager will monitor targets, profitability and management information while resolving operational issues and complaints.

The Bodyshop Manager / Accident Repair Centre Manager will oversee workshop discipline, staff records and HR matters, helping maintain a professional and productive environment.
