Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking a Bodyshop Manager / Vehicle Damage Assessor in Grays, UK. The role commands responsibility for workshop operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and high-quality repairs, with potential bonuses on top of up to £60,000 per annum.

You will lead a team, review processes, and liaise with insurers while driving sales opportunities and customer satisfaction in a busy bodyshop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a similar role or as a Workshop Controller.
• Experience using estimating software (ideally Audatex).
• A team player approach is essential.
• A strong leader who drives customer service, efficiency and profit.
• Clear understanding of modern repair processes with an eye for sales opportunities and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities of the production/workshop operations to ensure efficient work scheduling.
• Implement/manage work processes to ensure quality/ service levels meet or exceed expectations.
• Hold daily production meetings to ensure work completion targets with team leaders, parts and reception staff.
• Identify training and development needs and implement required training/ coaching (subject to approval).
• Quality checks before returning to the customer.
• Accurately and professionally assess a wide range of vehicles.
• Use computerised estimating systems.
• Calculate costings and the time required to complete repairs.
• Liaise regularly with insurance engineers.
• Contact customers to provide updates.

Our client, a busy Bodyshop/Accident Repair Centre in the Grays area are currently looking for an experienced Bodyshop Manager / Vehicle Damage Assessor.

Roles and Responsibilities for the Bodyshop Manager / Vehicle Damage Assessor role:

• Manage activities of the production/workshop operations to ensure efficient work scheduling
• Implement/manage work processes to ensure quality/service levels meet or exceed expectations
