Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Manager for our Ayr bodyshop. You will oversee accident repair and SMART repair operations, lead a team, and ensure high standards of service and productivity.

The role requires previous motor industry management experience, proactive organisation, and a drive to meet targets. You will manage day-to-day operations, quality checks, and coordinate invoicing using Audatex, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar management role in the automotive sector.
• Good computer literacy.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Proactive, organised and able to meet targets while leading a team.
• Full, clean driving licence for at least one year.
• Experience with Audatex estimating is desirable.

We're recruiting for a confident and experienced Bodyshop Manager to work at our Bodyshop in Ayr.

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8am - 12pm

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Bodyshop Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and effective running of our accident repair and SMART repair centres, dealing with customers and working as a team to restore cars to their former glory.

We're looking for someone who has previous experience in the motor industry; you will also be proactive and organised with the ability to meet and exceed targets while managing a team.

Day-to-day-duties

• Managing a team

• Making sure everyone adheres to company policy and health and safety best practice, including housekeeping

Essential skills

• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to motivate staff to reach targets
• Previous Audatex estimating experience
• A full, clean driving licence held for a minimum of one year

Nice to have (but not essential)

• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
