Job description

We are seeking a Bodyshop Estimator to join our team at Dick Lovett Bodyshop in Swindon. The role involves maintaining high standards of service and repair quality expected by our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compile vehicle repair estimates in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
2. Manage relationships with insurance companies to secure repair authorizations.
3. Issue repair orders and instruct bodyshop technicians on repair procedures.
4. Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to, and equipment is safe to use.
5. Approve work orders, monitor time management, and record additional work accurately.
6. Operate time controls as prescribed by management.
7. Handle warranty work accurately.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a customer-facing environment.
• Knowledge of estimating, with familiarity with the Audatex system being desirable.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Proactive, forward-thinking attitude with the ability to maximize profitability and manage workload efficiently.
• Thorough, methodical, confident, and experienced in dealing with third parties such as insurers and engineers.
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational and telephone skills, and computer literacy.
