Location: Hybrid Working - 3-4 days onsite in Woking, Surrey

Position Type: Rolling contract

About the company:

I am currently recruiting for a high-end, low-volume client specializing in supercars, based in Surrey. They are looking for a Body Structures Engineer with experience in composites and carbon fibre.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and deliver body structures systems to meet design specifications and styling intentions.
2. Build support (prototype and production).
3. Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards.
4. Support problem-solving activities during virtual and physical builds.
5. Assess all engineering prototypes for issues or risks and mitigate accordingly.
6. Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs.
7. Represent the department in design reviews and during testing and development activities.
8. Ensure compliance with internal, industry, business, and legislative standards.
9. Coordinate own design work for timely design releases, incorporating supplier input.
10. Design and manufacture of carbon fibre components.
11. Create and manage engineering technical specifications.
12. Experience with OEM DVP&R processes.
13. Deliver DFM and DFA.
