Job summary

Ripon Grammar School seeks a resident Deputy Housemaster/Housemistress to support the Senior Housemaster in managing the boarding house. The role can be filled by teaching or non-teaching candidates, with a focus on high standards of care for boarders.

The successful candidate will supervise evenings and weekends on a rota basis and contribute to the welfare of students aged 11–18 within a supportive residential environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care or boarding settings preferred.
• Ability to lead a team and support student welfare across duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee welfare and day-to-day wellbeing of 30–50 boarders aged 11–18.
• Assist Senior Housemaster with housing, rota systems and supervision duties.
