Job summary

GTS Group Ltd is seeking a BMS Design Engineer focused on systems integration to ensure building systems communicate effectively with the BMS.

You will work on HVAC, VRS cooling, heat pumps and other mechanical services, aligning BACnet/Modbus/OPC UA with Desigo-driven architectures.

The role emphasises cross-disciplinary collaboration with mechanical and electrical teams and client liaison.

Qualifications

• HVAC and mechanical building services experience.
• Electrical systems and energy efficiency principles.
• BACnet, Modbus and/or OPC UA experience.
• BEMS design and system architecture experience.
• Control panels and building automation systems.
• AutoCAD, MicroStation, EPLAN or Revit experience.
• Tridium Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure or similar platforms.
• Energy data analysis and optimisation.
• Building standards, compliance and energy efficiency.
• Building automation cyber-security principles.
• Smart building / IoT technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical equipment specifications and proposed purchases.
• Identify BMS and communications requirements at an early stage.
• Raise early warnings where equipment may require additional components or interfaces.
• Develop BMS layouts, system architecture and control panel designs.
• Support the integration of multiple building systems into a cohesive platform.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical and wider engineering teams.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Support specifications, commissioning and handover.
