BMSI is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Support Engineer to join our Southern Region team. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you'll be based on a prestigious customer site in Berkshire, playing a key role in maintaining and supporting critical Building Management Systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and building strong relationships with customers, while working with a range of industry-leading BMS technologies.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on Building Management Systems in line with customer service agreements.
Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues to maintain system performance and reliability.
Completing small repairs and remedial works.
Conducting routine inspections of BMS equipment and associated controls.
Responding to service calls and supporting customers during system failures or breakdowns.
Recording maintenance activities, repairs and customer interactions accurately and professionally.
Experience working within the Building Management Systems (BMS/BEMS) industry.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
A good understanding of mechanical plant and building services.
Experience with Trend and IQ Vision systems.
Exposure to other platforms such as Siemens, Tridium or Schneider EcoStruxure would be beneficial, although training can be provided.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
Comfortable working independently while also contributing as part of a wider team.
Good IT skills and experience using PC-based software.
Willingness to participate in an on-call rota for emergency support.
A full UK driving licence.
Please note: This role is based on a static customer site in Berkshire, so applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance of the area.
