Job summary

Independent Building Controls Company is seeking a Service Engineer based in the Northwest but prepared to work across the UK. You will service BMS systems for HVAC, lighting, doors, and CCTV, with a focus on preventative maintenance and building energy management.

The role requires a practical electrical background, strong communication, and the ability to work unsupervised. A company vehicle, laptop, phone and pension are provided, with overtime and a performance bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Be able to work unsupervised and prioritise workload.
• IT literate with good communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of building control systems and electrical background.
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience with TREND/TAC/Andover/CONTINUUM or similar systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled PPM BMS servicing visits.
• Compile detailed reports highlighting remedial items or recommendations.
• Remedial works (controller upgrades, panel modifications, software changes).
• Small project works (new panel installation and commissioning).
• Join the on‑call rota (currently 1 in 7 weeks).
