Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group in London is recruiting a BMS Service Engineer to maintain and optimise building management systems for critical facilities.

You will perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and fault resolution on Trend, IQ Vision, and other leading systems, while communicating clearly with customers and participating in an on-call rota. A full UK driving licence and ability to work independently within a wider engineering team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience within the BMS/BEMS industry, ideally in a service or maintenance role.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• A good understanding of mechanical plant and building services.
• Experience with Trend and IQ Vision systems.
• Exposure to Siemens, Tridium or Schneider EcoStruxure would be beneficial, although training can be provided.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Confidence working independently and contributing to a wider engineering team.
• Good IT skills and experience using PC-based software.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with customer service agreements.
• Inspect BMS equipment and associated controls, diagnose faults and resolve issues to maintain system performance.
• Complete small repairs and remedial works.
• Respond to service calls and support customers during system failures or breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and customer interactions; provide clear technical advice.
• Participate in an on-call rota for emergency support.

We are supporting one of the UK’s leading BMS specialists, who are hiring for a BMS Service Engineer. This opportunity is based in London, paying £65,000 per year.

You’ll have the opportunity to support critical Building Management Systems within a customer environment, working with leading BMS technologies and developing your technical expertise through ongoing training. This role would suit an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and building strong customer relationships, with a focus on keeping building control systems reliable and operating efficiently.
