A leading BMS services provider is looking for a BMS Engineer to join their team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems and BMS strategies, alongside experience with Tridium, Trend, and Centraline products. Responsibilities include commissioning small systems, fault finding, and liaising with clients and site managers. Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems required.
• Experience in BMS service and small works preferred.
• Knowledge of controls automation standards is desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Commission small systems daily.
• Conduct fault finding & diagnosing.
• Create point-to-point lists.
• Develop software strategy with Service Manager.
• Utilize protocols Modbus, BACnet, Lon.
• Manage small to medium size projects.
• Calibrate sensors & valve actuators.
• Liaise with clients & site managers.

About the role Metropolitan BMS Services are currently seeking to recruit a BMS Engineer to work alongside our team of experienced BMS engineers. This role would ideally suit anyone that has experience in carrying out BMS Service as well as undertaking small works under their own initiative.

Type of contract: Permanent

Department: BMS Division

Hours: 7am - 4pm

Location: Cannons / Site Based

Salary: DOE

Generally, the above hours will be flexible in line with the needs of the business. We operate a fair working policy but if any extended overtime is worked by agreement of you line manager, then overtime payment will be applicable

Requirements

• To have a strong understanding of HVAC systems
• To have a strong understanding of BMS Strategy and pre-commission.
• High level of Tridium, Trend and Cenrtaline products
• Efficient with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and Outlook
• To have a strong understanding of other controls automation related equipment e.g. Variable frequency drives and a basic knowledge of relevant standards governing the controls automation industry is desirable

Responsibilities

The role of BMS Engineer will require you to undertake daily the following responsibilities.

• Commissioning of small system
• Fault Finding & Diagnosing
• Point to point list
• Working closely with the Service Manager to develop software strategy and implementation
• Protocols used are Modbus, BACnet, Lon
• Working on multiple small / medium size projectsGraphic modification
• Systems used are Tridium, Centraline, Distech and Trend
• Calibration of sensors & Valve actuators
• Liaising with clients & Site manager
