Job Description:
They have gained over 80 years of industry experience across their board and are now working for some of the nation's leading Contractors. Their current clients include major players in the London fit-out market. They are looking to strengthen their technical services team following a period of sustained growth. They specialize in Cat A and B office fit-outs and refurbishments, working with some of the most esteemed architects and consultants in the country. Most of their work is based in Central London; however, they are keen to expand into the home counties.
The successful candidate will oversee flagship commercial fit-outs valued up to £50 million M&E packages for one of the largest blue-chip companies in the world.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all elements of the defined MEP package, from design to delivery into service, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and managing subcontractors accordingly.
- Issuing contract notices, including early warnings under NEC contracts, in a timely manner.
- Promoting a collaborative environment among team members, stakeholders, and the supply chain, and maintaining effective communication.
- Ensuring timely issuance of reports and information as per SWI documentation, including providing package narratives for client reports.
- Leading programme and production control processes related to your package, monitoring progress, and advising on corrective actions when necessary.
- Participating in decision-making related to cost and programme, considering the holistic impact on the project.
- Assisting in programme preparation, understanding critical activities, system constraints, and interdependencies.
- Reviewing design information for buildability and commissioning readiness.
- Ensuring site works are conducted safely, conducting weekly safety tours, and recording issues.
- Ensuring all method statements and risk assessments are approved before work commencement.
- Managing quality assurance, ensuring snag-free handovers, and timely completion of works, including snagging clearance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 5 years of industry experience.
- Good knowledge of building services engineering systems and their implementation.
- Competence in Health and Safety management.
- A project-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to implement systems.
- Innovative thinking.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with professionals, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
