Job description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join a national market leader in the Building Management Systems industry & Energy Optimisation, covering a variety of projects in London and the South East.

The Role

This role is crucial in delivering high-quality service to customers and ensuring the successful completion of all project work. It involves delivering projects within set timelines and budgets, emphasising quality and adhering to my client's health and safety policy.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage project costs effectively
  2. Adhere to company ISO, health and safety (H&S) procedures and policies
  3. Ensure compliance with company H&S and Construction Design and Management (CDM) requirements, including documentation production
  4. Attend site progress meetings, project review meetings, and generate weekly project reports as needed
  5. Take overall responsibility for submitting project variations and interim payment applications
  6. Assist the Regional Manager or Commercial Director in final account agreements
  7. Keep project files updated and aligned with quality management procedures
  8. Coordinate with estimating/sales teams on technical and commercial aspects
  9. Develop and oversee project work schedules
  10. Prepare monthly revenue forecasts and Cash to Cash (C2C) reports
  11. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction
  12. Manage procurement of control items and approve control panel designs
  13. Forecast labour needs and oversee project resource allocation, including design and delivery
  14. Manage subcontractors and evaluate their performance regularly
  15. Ensure adequate training for assigned operatives
  16. Contribute to project design, technical submissions, and external design engineering reviews
  17. Prepare Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and other relevant documentation
  18. Participate in necessary training courses and meetings
  19. Conduct risk assessments, making adjustments as needed
  20. Undertake any other duties as directed by business directors/managers
Skills Required
  1. Proficient teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently
  2. Business acumen
  3. Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  4. Proficiency in various BMS/HVAC products
  5. Keen eye for detail
  6. Outstanding time management and organizational abilities
  7. Self-driven, reliable, and accountable
  8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service
  9. Competence in Microsoft Office, including Project usage
  10. Due to the nature of this role, it's essential you possess a full UK driving licence.
