Are you an experienced Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) Project Engineer looking to further your career? We have a vacancy for a Project Engineer in our Central London Region. This hybrid role involves working from home and onsite at our Waterloo office.

BMSI offers an opportunity to work for one of the world's largest independent BMS companies, emphasizing growth, collaboration, and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will manage, design, and engineer small to medium BMS projects, overseeing H&S, procurement, supervising subcontractors, coordinating work programs, customer interaction, and financial control.

Responsibilities
  • Project engineering and management of small and medium projects.
  • Effective communication with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Design, engineering, and commissioning of BMS systems (time permitting).
  • Health and Safety compliance, including site audits.
  • Planning labor requirements with administration.
  • Financial management of projects.
  • Supervision of subcontractors if required.
  • Standard BMS engineer tasks when workload is low.
  • Site surveys for quotations and system design.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced BMS engineer familiar with Schneider EcoStruxture / Trend systems; experience with Tridium, ALC is advantageous.
  • Background in the building controls industry and understanding of mechanical plant; data centre experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in BMS control strategy design, engineering, and commissioning.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Well-organized, able to work under pressure.
  • Located within comfortable traveling distance of Cardiff.
  • Full UK driving license and PC literacy.
  • Hold a CSCS skill card or equivalent.
