Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. invites applications for a BMS Project Commissioning Engineer.

The role is field-based across the North East and surrounding areas, involving close collaboration with customers to understand requirements and design customized BMS solutions to improve building performance and energy efficiency. You will work with cross-functional teams, deliver projects on time, and travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in project engineering for technology-based projects, ideally in Building Management Systems.
• Ability to produce FAT/SAT documentation for customer approval.
• Experience with design submittals: Equipment Schedule, Schematics, I/O data lists.

Responsibilities

• Assist with input of key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership of subcontract designs.
• Design and implement projects with BMS & control systems, HVAC control, integration.
• Coordinate engineering/design submittals: Equipment Schedule, Schematics, I/O data point lists and device/wiring layouts.
• Develop and submit FAT and SAT documentation for customer approval.
• Compile training handover documentation for each project.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

We have an opportunity for a BMS Project Commissioning Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in North East and surrounding areas, where you will be responsible for working closely with customers to understand their requirements and design customized BMS solutions that optimize building performance and energy efficiency, improving building performance and energy efficiency through the implementation of advanced BMS solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within. This is a field-based role travelling across the region and occasionally further as required.

• Responsible for assisting with the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership of any subcontract designs (e.g. Panels)
• Implementing and completing the design of projects with the customer using skills and knowledge within BMS & control systems, HVAC control, integration, and applications
• Work closely with the Project Manager assisting with the production and coordination of the engineering / design submittal to include Equipment Schedule & Schematics, I/O data point List, Device / Wiring Layout Drawings and Installation/Commissioning
• Development and submittal of both FAT and SAT documentation, to customer approval
• Compiling of Training Handover Documentation for each project
• Previous experience within a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology based projects ideally within Building Management Systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment with a strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft office products
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and projects site as part of the role
