Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced BMS Operations Manager to lead the Essex-based hybrid operation. You will oversee day-to-day BMS activity, manage engineering resources, and drive efficiency while maintaining high safety standards.

This role requires broad leadership across projects and service delivery, strong customer relationship management, and the ability to forecast resources and KPIs to support growth.

Qualifications

• Significant BMS/building controls experience.
• Previous operations, service, project or engineering management experience.
• Strong understanding of BMS project delivery and service.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Commercially aware with strong customer management ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day BMS operational activity.
• Manage engineering and operational resources.
• Improve processes, workflow and operational efficiency.
• Monitor project and service delivery.
• Work closely with senior management on business performance.
• Manage internal teams and external subcontractors.
• Support recruitment and workforce planning.
• Monitor KPIs and operational targets.
• Assist with commercial planning and resource forecasting.
• Maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational activities meet company standards and H&S requirements.
