Job summary

L.J.B & Co. Construction Recruitment is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join a leading international engineering contractor on a major commercial project in London. The role is permanent and focuses on installation, integration, testing and commissioning of BMS systems.

You will work closely with wider M&E teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure works are delivered safely, correctly and in line with project specs.

Qualifications

• Experience with BMS controls, integration and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating with designers, contractors and project teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and documentation.

Salary: £80,000-£90,000 + Accommodation + Travel Allowance + Benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced BMS Engineer to join a leading international engineering contractor working on a major commercial project in London.

The business has an excellent reputation for delivering complex MEP, Data Centre, Mission Critical and commercial projects across the UK and Europe. They offer a strong engineering environment, long-term career development and the opportunity to work alongside experienced project and commissioning teams.

This is a key position supporting the installation, integration, testing and commissioning of BMS systems, working closely with the wider M&E teams, subcontractors, designers and client representatives.

Reporting to the BMS Manager, You will support the coordination, installation, integration and commissioning of BMS systems, ensuring all works are:

• Delivered safely
• Correctly
• In line with project specifications

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate BMS activities with wider M&E workstreams.
• Support BMS installation, testing, commissioning and systems integration.
• Coordinate BMS works with clients, designers, contractors and project teams.
• Review and coordinate design information and technical documentation.
• Support technical submittals and material approvals.
• Monitor BMS progress against the project programme.
• Carry out quality inspections and support snagging and close-out.
• Attend project meetings, engineering reviews and coordination workshops.
• Support BMS testing, commissioning, witnessing and troubleshooting.
• support fault finding and technical issues.
• Coordinate with BMS subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Maintain project documentation, reports and records.
• Support preparation of O&M manuals, QA documentation and handover information.
• Work closely with the BMS Manager and wider engineering team to achieve successful project delivery.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality throughout the project.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a BMS Engineer / BMS Project Engineer / BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, Data Centre or Mission Critical projects.
• Strong understanding of BMS controls, integration and commissioning.
• Experience with BMS testing, commissioning, fault finding and troubleshooting.Good understanding of M&E/building services systems.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, designers and project teams.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant Engineering or Building Services qualification.
• Experience with project and information management systems
