Job summary

Core Group is partnering with a growing building controls specialist to appoint an experienced BMS Design Engineer to support the design, technical coordination and delivery of BMS and Energy Management System solutions across the UK, working with engineering, commissioning and project delivery teams from concept through to handover.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within the BMS industry.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls.
• Experience developing points schedules and control strategies.
• Knowledge of BMS hardware, control panels and field devices.
• Experience with system integration and network architecture.
• Ability to review mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate and deliver BMS and EMS solutions from concept to handover.
• Produce points schedules and control strategies.
• Develop operation descriptions (DBOs).
• Specify and coordinate panels, valves, actuators and field devices.
• Design BMS network architecture and systems.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Review software and graphics; manage third-party integrations.
• Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support during installation and delivery.
• Produce as-built docs and O&M manuals.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and end users.
