Clear Engineering Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer for projects across Manchester, Preston and Bolton. You will commission and optimise BMS hardware/software, integrate third-party systems, and deliver training to facilities teams.

The role offers a £50,000–£60,000 salary plus a company car or car allowance, pension and healthcare. Travel across the Midlands is expected, with strong career development opportunities and a generous holiday package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building controls.

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software.
• Commission and complete BMS installations across multiple project sites.
• Integrate third-party systems, including HVAC, lighting and energy management controls.
• Test, fault-find and optimise BMS systems to ensure successful project delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues throughout commissioning and project delivery.
• Interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Work with Project Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors and customers.
• Assist with project documentation and graphics.
• Deliver customer training and handovers to facilities teams.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety.

We are looking for a driven and experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Projects Team, delivering innovative Building Management System (BMS) solutions across commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, with opportunities to take ownership of projects, share technical knowledge and make a real impact on the successful delivery of BMS solutions.

What You'll Do

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls and energy management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control wiring diagrams.
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• A proactive, professional approach to project delivery.
• Willingness to travel across the Midlands and surrounding areas as required.
